I have always been a “rebel” in my thinking, but a conservative in my actions. Why? Because the values and impositions of society have always had a profound impact on me and, on occasions, have made me doubt whether my inner truth was “right” or “wrong”. Fortunately, I learned in my childhood to listen to my inner voice and to follow -peacefully and calmly- the course that my higher-self had set for me. I know, you must be thinking “What does that have to do with WhatsApp? Why should I worry about an app developed from a technological point of view and not from a spiritual and holistic one? Well, in this short text I am going to help you understand what the purpose of WhatsApp is, by looking inwards.
WhatsApp, just like all social media, has been developed as a technological marvel whose creation -as I always say- was inspired by the knowledge originated in those higher levels of consciousness that are beyond the reach of our earthly humanity. Even so -here on earth- the power of control and manipulation has turned these marvels into tools of oppression, which subjugate our will and subdue our consciousness through total distraction, alienating us from our true essence: our INNER SELF.
Today I am going to talk about the social platform called WhatsApp, as it is a tool that distracts and controls the attention of many of us, giving us the chance to be connected with the whole world in amazing ways but, at the same time, disconnecting us from our own environment and -most sadly- from ourselves.
It's time for us to look inwards and stop being distracted to the point that we forget who we really are @journeyangels
How does WhatsApp work? First, you can download it for free (pay attention to that marvel of the higher level of consciousness!), so everyone can install it on their smartphones. Install it and all your contacts will automatically be added to the app and you will be able to contact anyone for free, no matter how far he or she is. Once that you do this, the groups will start coming. Old friends from high school, our children’s friends’ moms, our colleagues, etc.
Suddenly we are bombarded by messages. At first, these messages are exciting. They allow us to know everything about other people’s lives. However, time passes and we discover that -just like it happens with any other drug-, we start to need it. We may consider quitting, but that looks like a great sacrifice… What will the other moms think of us if we leave the group? And what if something important happens and we are the last to know? All these questions make our addiction feels justified.
Little by little, we become saturated. Addiction follows us everywhere, every day. We even think of it as normal! After all, this drug has infiltrated society so deeply that we even think that people who don’t use WhatsApp are uncool and outdated.
But what happens when we start being aware of the suffocating effects of this digital drug? Well, that’s when we feel the need to rediscover our connection with ourselves. So we start silencing these WhatsApp groups when we are at work. We do the same when we are having dinner or going to sleep. Once that we have found this connection with ourselves, we understand that we are capable of
taking the next step… We uninstall this amazing app, which was created from the knowledge originated in the higher planes with one simple purpose: to lead us to a state of external saturation and to open the road that will lead us to ourselves.
I don’t mean by this that you should uninstall this amazing, magical app right now. I’m just making an observation about how marvelous it can be once that we understand the true purpose of its existence. This is not simply to make the world a smaller place and allow us to feel close to those loved ones who are far away -or to people we barely know!-, but to make us rediscover that inner connection that was lost millions of years ago -in the beginning of our existence- when we lost our way home and were trapped in this plane without being aware, in most cases, of the true purpose of our own existence.
Now it is time to wake up, to reconnect with our essence and understand that our true purpose is within ourselves, even if we need external things to help us -because they always help us- find ourselves. We just have to learn to pay attention in order to understand that everything -absolutely everything that was created and materialized- has a purpose beneficial to our existence.
